During the First Neo Zeon War, the Neo Zeon forces developed the Zaku III with an updated numbering to outperform Earth Federation mobile suits. The Zaku IV is a machine that inherits the concepts of the MS-05 Zaku I, MS-06 Zaku II, and AMX-011 Zaku III.
