The Schwein is a large mobile armor developed by the Jupiter Republic, whose warhawk faction, the Servants of Olympus, wanted a new weapon to serve as the vanguard for a renewed push for an invasion of Earth. They secured funding for its production by extorting the Jupiter Foundation with guarantees of Curtis Rothko's safety. The design expounds upon the concept of the former Jupiter Empire's EMA-06 Elegorela mobile armor. The Schwein is intended to mainly operate in its Mobile Armor mode when engaging fleets and small squads, as its thick armor and I-field provides it with outstanding defense, and it is able to attack in all directions with three flexible tail cannons. However, if confronted with an exceptionable enemy that can not be defeated by the Mobile Armor form, it can transform into a Mobile Suit form to focus overwhelming firepower ahead of itself from behind an impenetrable beam shield made from concentrating all three of its I-fields.
