Technology & Combat Characteristics
The G-FIghter II is the further development of the first G-Armor. The G-Fighter II was composed of two modules, collectively referred to as G-Parts or G-Mecha. The two modules are individually named the A-Parts and B-Parts. The A-Parts comprised the G-Fighter's nose and cockpit, as well as a pair of treads which were not used in the standard configuration. While the treads could be used to move while landed, they became dead weight during flight. The B-Parts formed the main fuselage and thrusters of the G-Fighter. The base that each wing was attached to could rotate to reverse the orientation of the wing, and each end could function as either an intake or a thruster. The B-Parts also secured the Gundam's feet in place when the G-Fighter was used as a sub-flight system. Combining both parts of the G-Fighter II with the Gundam and Core Fighter resulted in the G-Armor II.
History
In U.C 0083 the G Fighter II brought from Jaburo to MSC-07 Albion as additional support unit in its effort to recapture the stolen RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis". While the Albion travels in the Indian Ocean, it was deployed to scout the area for hostile forces, but while doing so it was ambushed by Zeon Remnants' Kraken Team and suffered some damage to its beam cannon unit and retreated. After the ambush, it was converted into G Armor II to re-engage with the Zeon Remnants forces in the area.
