Technology & Combat Characteristics
This machine is said to have been used to test and evaluate weapons, such as the Fedayeen Rifle and Shock Wire, that would later be adopted by the Earth Federation's MS for the Titans organization. The RMS-179 GM II was produced in particularly high numbers and was among the Earth Federation's mainstay MS at the time, and as it was a general-purpose mass-produced machine, it was selected as the test unit. Since it was intended as a MS for the development of new weapons for the Titans, the unit was painted in Titans colors with a dark blue theme.
The prototype Fedayeen Rifle had a grip with a mechanism allowing it to fold in consideration of whether it was being used during shooting or close combat, but after receiving technology from the Jupiter Fleet, this was omitted before the rifle was officially adopted. It was proposed that the shock wire be built into a small shield, and this achieved good results in terms of functionality. However, improvements were being considered in terms of its handling, which resulted in it being made into an optional piece of equipment that could be used with the manipulator, and it was transformed into a handheld weapon—the Sea Serpent.
