Technology & Combat Characteristics
This mobile suit is the result of the GNZ-001 GRM Gundam fusing with the alien lifeform Extraterrestial Living-metal Shape-shifter (ELS). The letter "E" added to the name is an abbreviation for ELS, from which the machine derived its metallic luster appearance. It is superficially more curved and smoother than its predecessor, but whether it retains all of the original GRM Gundam's equipment is unknown. The combat capabilities of the GRM Gundam E are also unclear, it is only shown holding a GN Mega Launcher-like weapon in its right hand and having a GN Shield-like equipment on the left arm. Lastly, it has the ability to utilize Trans-Am.
History
Leo Sieg piloted the GNZ-001 GRM Gundam during the conflict with the Extraterrestial Living-metal Shape-shifter (ELS), and was eventually overwhelmed by the alien lifeform while defending one of the quantum brainwaves isolation facilities sheltering potential Innovators. As Leo and the GRM Gundam was about to be fully assimilated by the ELS, Setsuna F. Seiei was able to successfully commence dialogues with the ELS, saving Leo's life. While Leo was changed into an ELS/Innovator hybrid, the GRM Gundam transformed into the GRM Gundam E. Several years later, Leo used the GRM Gundam E during the conflict between the Innovators and their supporters against the Old Human Faction.
