Technology & Combat Characteristics
The JMSX-11 Crossbone Gundam X-11 is a reproduction of the XM-X0 Crossbone Gundam X-0, recreated by the Jupiter Republic—not SNRI—using recovered data from the X-0. Although the Crossbone Gundam is a high-performance design from an earlier generation, it remains relatively easy to manufacture even in the present era, despite the technological decline brought about by the Warring Space States period. For this reason, it has been developed as a new fighting force for the Jupiter Republic. The unit numbering differs from the original system: for example, the X-11 is the fifth Crossbone Gundam, not the eleventh. Accordingly, its model number begins with “JMS,” with the “J” indicating Jupiter-made origin.
The Crossbone Gundam X-11 was the first unit recreated using data from the X-0 and was developed with the goal of being a perfect replica. As a result, it was more expensive than the XM-X13 Crossbone Gundam X-13. After its completion in U.C. 0156, it was used for approximately one year in testing at a military mobile suit test facility, after which it was disassembled and placed into storage by the Jupiter Foundation. It was later recovered and reassembled by Curtis Rothko. Although it is a reproduction, its overall performance is comparable to that of the original.
Like the X-0, it is piloted by the blind Curtis. To support him, the mobile suit is equipped with a sensor system that converts detected information into three-dimensional sound, as well as a support AI called “Harororo,” a copy of the AI Haroro developed by Font Bow. Harororo also relays sensor data to Curtis through verbal communication.
