Technology & Combat Characteristics
Originally developed by the Space Revolutionary Army and used by its Earth invasion forces, a Grandeene was recovered and repaired by the Alternative Company after the war. Due to its low mobility, it was utilized as a movable gun platform for long-range bombardment. Its main weapon is a powerful charged particle flare cannon, and its four legs allow it to fire this weapon in a stable manner. A hover unit is located in the sole of each foot.
History
Created by the SRA during the 7th Space War, the Grandeene was a large mobile armor deployed during the invasion of Earth. Although the exact production number of Grandeenes is unknown, at least one unit survived the apocalyptic end of the war and was restored into operational state by the Alternative Company which studied Newtypes. In A.W.0015, Von Alternative, the leader of the Alternative Company, ordered the mobile armor to attack the Frost Brothers, who had brought him the Newtype girl Tiffa Adill, as well as the crew of the Vulture ship Freeden. Both parties however were able to evade the deadly attack. In the end, the GX-9900 Gundam X, piloted by Garrod Ran, used its Satellite Cannon to destroy the Grandeene, with the beam shot also destroying or damaging the surrounding Alternative Company buildings.
