Technology & Combat Characteristics
The MBF-P04 Gundam Astray Green Frame is a Mobile Suit introduced in the manga Gundam SEED Frame Astrays.
History
In C.E. 71, the Orb Union's Morgenröte corporation built five Gundam Astray prototype mobile suits at Heliopolis, the MBF-P01 Gundam Astray Gold Frame, MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame, MBF-P03 Gundam Astray Blue Frame, MBF-P04 Gundam Astray Unit 4 and MBF-P05 Gundam Astray Unit 5 (which was later modified into MBF-P05LM Gundam Astray Mirage Frame), which were based on the five G Project Gundams that they assisted the Earth Alliance's Atlantic Federation in creating. They successfully copied the EA's beam rifle and saber technology, but Morgenröte did not have access to the Phase Shift armor design, and compensated by making the Gundam Astrays lighter and more agile than their EA counterparts.
On January 25, C.E. 71, ZAFT's attack on Heliopolis to steal the G Project units also unknowingly interrupted the Astray Project. In order to hide their progress, Orb's officials decided to destroy the Astray lab. However all Astray prototypes survived and fell into the hands of different factions. Prior to the second war, Rondo Mina Sahaku handed over the Gundam Astray Unit 4 in her possession to "God of Fist" Barry Ho. The suit was in its unassembled form, but was assembled with help from Lowe Guele and painted in green to match Barry's intention to use it in the Jungle. As a result of this, the suit also gained the name 'Gundam Astray Green Frame'. Barry later give the Green Frame to Trojan Noiret, a member of a guerrilla force, for use against the ZAFT and EA forces in the Republic of East Asia. Trojan used his suit against Gai Murakumo of the Serpent Tail mercenary group twice, but they later became allies.
