Technology & Combat Characteristics

A unique mobile suit produced under the top-secret "Project E" experiment started during the One Year War by an unknown Zeon high official who witnessed a monkey playing a videogame. The tests were conducted at a Zeon research satellite. Designed specifically for use by the Newtype monkeys produced from the project, the MS-06MS used the base frame of the MS-06F, and its legs have been replaced with manipulators because apes can handle their legs with more dexterity than humans. In addition to this, the power output has been increased to the extent that it can handle four Gelgoog-type beam rifles, and it has been given a magnet coating and other improvements.

It is made with technology that was used until around U.C. 0080, when the E-satellite lost contact with the home country, but in the U.C. 0136, when it was already obsolete, it showed amazing combat power that overwhelmed the Federation machines that it engaged. This can only be attributed to the abilities of the monkeys on board.

History

This unusual MS was causing a ruckus in the shoal zone near Side 2, and although five Earth Federation Forces patrols are badly damaged, one of them is finally captured, bringing the existence of Project E to light. After that, several machines attacked the Federation forces who came to investigate the E satellite. The piloting skills of the monkeys, who seemed to have awakened as Newtypes, overwhelmed even Harrison Madin, who engaged them. It is only with assistance from Tobia Arronax, who uses the XM-X1 Crossbone Gundam X-1 Kai anti-beam cloak, yellow spray paint, and oxygen tanks to create a giant banana-shaped balloon as a distraction, that Harrison is able to defeat them.
