Technology & Combat Characteristics
Based on the Dolmel, which was developed as a high-performance close combat unit by the Principality of Zeon in advance of the decisive battle at the space fortress A Baoa Qu near the end of the One Year War. One Dolmel was later modified, after the Delaz Conflict, by True Federal, a dissident faction of the Earth Federation Forces. Richard Grayson, who was a sponsor of True Federal, secretly transplanted the psycho-sensitive AI "Demon Blade" into his Dolmel from the captured RGM-79FC Striker Custom.
It remains similar to the base Dolmel, retaining the same weapons, but has been overhauled to a great degree, leading to differences in its profile and performance. The most notable difference, though, is the Dolmel Doue's head—which houses the "Demon Blade" AI—has had its monoeye sensor replaced with Federation-style twin eye sensors.
History
The Dolmel of self-proclaimed True Federal leader Duke Sparda was modified into the Dolmel Doue after capturing the "Demon Blade" AI System from Ittou Tsurugi's defeated Striker Custom in Side 7. The original leader of True Federal and Richard Grayson's master, Kanesada Tsurugi, would return from his incarceration in Side 1 shortly afterwards to reclaim his control over the wayward organization, and had Grayson tortured for his coup attempt, subjecting him to horrific Cyber Newtype experimentation intending to kill him. Grayson would survive the torture and escape however, but the excessive enhancement shattered his psyche, though it also greatly expanded his abilities. Using the Dolmel Doue, Grayson would interrupt a battle between Kanesada's Gundam GP02 and Itto's rebuilt Full Armor Striker Custom, killing his former master. Richard Grayson would ultimately be killed by Ittou and the Dolmel Doue was destroyed.
