Technology & Combat Characteristics
The MSA-005S Methuss Kai is the artillery combat specification of the MSA-005 Methuss. It was conceived as an improved version of the original unit, intended for use in long-range artillery engagements. However, development was reportedly canceled during the conceptual stage. In terms of actual combat operations, some sources describe the Methuss Kai as a machine designed for artillery support—albeit with a different approach from that of the MSA-005K Guncannon Detector.
The machine’s structure and armament were reinforced, with increased durability in each joint. In its MA form, the unit is equipped with a High Mega Cannon mounted in the nose, which can also be fired horizontally while in MS form. Some sources also suggest that its ability to fire horizontally was made possible largely by the reinforcement of the machine’s overall structure.
