Technology & Combat Characteristics
A high-performance custom Gunpla designed by Ryusei Fudou, the Gundam Helios is the successor of the Gundam Areus. Like its predecessors it is a versatile machine capable of a variety of combat scenarios and fighting styles. Based on the Destiny Gundam, the Gundam F91, and the Gundam X and Gundam Double X, the Helios adds new parts like the aeroelastic wings of the Freedom Gundam and Psycho-Frame from the Unicorn Gundam. It was named after the sun God Helios due to its appearance when its wings are deployed and its fins are released, and the brilliant light it emits from the clear parts all over its body.
History
Ryusei Fudou would be inspired to build the Gundam Helios in preparation for GB Fest. Like his previous Gunpla, the Gundam Areus, it is designed with the concept of integrating many different features from the Gundams of various titles into a single unit. At GB Fest, he would be part of the resistance to Kentaro Mahara's takeover of the battle simulator, an event which would become referred to as "Mahara's Rebellion."
A few years later he would re-unite with his former Soukai High School classmates for an invitational Beta Test Tournament in the online game GB4. He would use the Gundam Helios but, out of practice, they would be defeated by the "Miracle Team."
