Technology & Combat Characteristics
The lineage of Transformable MS (TMS) began with the MSN-001 Delta Gundam, and continued through the mass-produced prototype MSN-001A1 Delta Plus, which lead to the development of the MSN-001X Gundam Delta Kai for the purpose of technical demonstrations of special equipment. The MSN-001X unit had high performance, and the equipping of n_i_t_r_o made it possible for the average soldier to operate funnels, but many were skeptical that the details of the system itself were not officially disclosed. Therefore this machine, the MSN-001Y Gundam Delta Ans, was designed as one of the models of the MSN series that is not equipped with a Psycommu-type system.
The transformation structure established with the MSN-001A1 remains unchanged, but it mounts a large expandable thruster unit on the back, making it possible to adjust its output as needed. Its main weapon is the Long Mega Buster, which was highly evaluated in the MSN-001X technology demonstration. An I-field Generator is installed within the shield to supplement its defensive capabilities in MS form.
