Technology & Combat Characteristics

The Gundam [Kestrel] Armor Exterior is a set of optional equipment developed in Granada that features additional armor with a beam-resistant coating as well as increased firepower. A linear gun is mounted on the the backpack while a double beam rifle is mounted on the right arm. In addition, missile launchers have been mounted on the backpack, legs, and left arm. The Kestrel's mobility has been reduced, though it is still superior to that of a standard MS. The decreased mobility also results in the mobile suit being easier to pilot. The mobile suit also features propellant tanks and a cooling system to extend its operating time.
