Technology & Combat Characteristics
The Stark GM is a retrofitted RGM-79GS GM Command Space Type designed for asteroid interception purposes. In order to deal with the threat posed by asteroids in outer space, the Stark GM's main weapon is a set of triple medium missile pods derived from those used by RGM-89S Stark Jegan. Because its based on an older mobile suit model, it was retrofitted with modern MS parts such as the RGM-179 GM II's generator, the RGM-86R GM III's leg, and the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II's backpack to increase its performance. These modifications allows the Stark GM performance to be on par with Mobile Suits from 0090s era, while carrying heavy firepower. Even with these modifications, its emphasis remains as an asteroid interceptor unit, which effects its capabilities in Mobile Suit on Mobile Suit combat.
History
In U.C 0116, Many Stark GMs were present during siege of the Trimurti anti asteroid cannon by Zeon Remnants called the Legacy Fleet, in Earth orbit. During the battle it provided fire support against the Zeon Remnants' older mobile suits. During the battle, many Stark GMs were destroyed because of the overwhelming number of enemy mobile suits. After the battle some of the Stark GM also seen escorting the damaged OMA-05-2RFN RF Gromlin II.
Later in U.C 0120, several GM Starks were assigned to the Earth Federation Forces' 13th Experimental Battlegroup, during the First Oldsmobile War on Mars. But unfortunately all of the Stark GMs were lost during the battle.
