Technology & Combat Characteristics
The RF Rock is an successor to the MAM-11 Rock, while it shares an almost identical name with its predecessor and is similar in appearance, internally it is a completely different machine built with cutting-edge technologies, such as the introduction of the Minovsky Craft System as well as powerful Electronic Warfare equipment. Thanks to its stealth‑oriented design, it is often used to attack unsuspecting EFF bases and is capable of jamming electronic equipment such as sensors and disabling mobile suits’ operating systems over a relatively large area, making It the best-performing aquatic Mobile Armor of the U.C. 120s.
Like its predecessor, the RF Rock is a combined form consisting of a Mobile Armor unit called the RF Barock, which serves as the rear section, and an aquatic Mobile Suit the OMSM-07RF RF Z’Gok covered by a "Shark Nose" that serves as the front section, replacing the Forock in the original design. The decision to combine the two units gives the RF Rock a combined generator output of approximately 5,970 kW, which is the sum of the RF Barock’s 3,140 kW and the RF Z’Gok’s 2,830 kW outputs. When the RF Z’Gok is deployed, the "Shark Nose" retracts, forming RF Barock.
History
In U.C 0121, the RF Rock is one of the Mobile Weapons deployed by the Pan African Liberation Army, during their surprise attack on Earth Federation Forces' (EFF) Manyara Base in Africa. During the battle it manage to deal significant damage to the base, by launching the bombardment missiles, and disabling the most of electronic equipment in the Base, as well as most of EFF's Mobile Suits being connected to the Base's network, except for the F90 Gundam F90 Unit 1 & OMS-90R2 Mars Gundam thanks to independent Pseudo Personality A.I. of the F90 series.
