Technology & Combat Characteristics

Although it looks similar to a mobile worker, the Pluma is actually a small, unmanned, sub-unit produced and commandeered by the large, unmanned mobile armors. It is possible for the Plumas produced by a mobile armor model to be distinct from those produced by another model of mobile armor. The Plumas are not powered by Ahab Reactor, but instead receive power from an external source, such as their parent mobile armor. As they operate based on orders from the mobile armor, they will stop functioning if the latter is destroyed.

Aside from serving as attack units, and protecting their parent mobile armor, the Plumas also carry out other functions such as scavenging – collecting resources such as fuel, propellant, and other materials to resupply and even repair the mobile armor. The mobile armor in turn can manufacture new Plumas with these resources. With enough time and materials, the number of Plumas can multiply infinitely. Data of the surrounding area collected by the Plumas are also transmitted in real time to the mobile armor. Despite the Plumas having a form distinct from their parent mobile armor, from a system point of view, they are still considered a part of the mobile armor.
