Technology & Combat Characteristics
The RDG series, manufactured by Randegger Heavy Industries, are handmade space/land combat MS at miniaturized scale. Unlike the Karcharias, which had a two-seat cockpit, there are different colored Tigris units for Oier and Griselda. Thrusters are effectively placed throughout its body, and it is also equipped with "biting" beam gatling guns, a combined armament that doubled as a reconnaissance drone and thruster unit. The screw apogees, which control the thruster's jet direction using Minovsky electromagnetism, are a Randegger patent, a further indication that it was made by that company.
The lower body has four versatile legs connected by a drum frame. The Tigris has a high running speed under gravity, but the legs also provide strong grip to surfaces like asteroids or colony walls, and can also be used as large claws for work or combat. Because the inside of the legs had a number of screw apogees, it was possible to operate them together as a large thruster unit, which could also be used as thermonuclear hover nozzles on the ground, making it able to swiftly hover by fully spreading the legs.
History
In U.C. 112 a few time after the previous encounter against the F90 Gundam F90 M Type at Labrador Sea using Karcharias, Oier Randegger the CEO of Randegger Heavy Industries, was still obsessed to defeat the Gundam and still not giving up before he achieved the result he wanted. He then tasked Griselda Jiah to arrange a transport to one of their hidden base in one of the unspecified abandoned colonies in Side 6 to test the Tigris. The first encounter of Tigris, would be against Neo Zeon remnants which comprised of a Geara Zulu Guards Type, Zaku III Custom, and a Regelgu each equipped with long range backpack doing regular supply salvage operation for their forces. Unbeknownst to the Zeon Remnant the Tigris quickly destroyed the Geara Zulu in MA mode, and then proceeded to destroy the Zaku III with ease. Luckily the Regelgu was spared as Oier consider his Tigris isn't worthy to fight the small fries, it was revealed that the pilot of Regelgu was a cadet Charles Rochester leaving him scarred for the rest of his life.
Sometimes after that Oier hired a mercenary group called Gleam Black Guns (GBG) to assist Oier ambition and act as diversion so he and Griselda can take out the Gundam, which was "concidentally" Team B testing the Gundam F90 Unit 2 near their secret base. By the time Team B doing a mock battle to test F90 K Type, GBG was wreaking havoc to team B MS teams while the leader of GBG using Full Armor GM III luring the Gundam to a specific location where Oier and Griselda been waiting in their Tigris. After lured the Gundam both Tigris was ready to strike but they were outsmarted by the Gundam pilot who attacked Griselda's unit first and heavily damaged it. Seeing how the Gundam plot act Oier immediately interested to fight the Gundam without holding back, after some battle he manage to corner the Gundam and almost destroy it until an unknown aircaft combines with it. Suddenly the Gundam turned into Gundam F90 Next Type which was amused Oier as he proceed use every tactics he can to defeat the Gundam. Oier confidently think he had the upper hand to win the battle, but he was once again outsmarted by the Gundam pilot and admit he lost the battle. Seeing his boss defeated Griselda loses her temper, she decided to crash her damaged Tigris ignored Oier warning and caused a huge explosion destroying the F90 N supposedly killing the Gundam pilots. Luckily Oier survived the battle and carry the remains of Griselda's Tigris fled the battlefield and soon disappeared never to be seen again.
