Technology & Combat Characteristics
The RGM-89G Jegan Ground Type A was a ground based mobile suit used by the Earth Federation Forces in the early UC 100s. Based on the ground combat A-Type, it featured a pair of searchlights on the chest with one on each side of the head, and added rear skirt armor. The Jegan’s armaments included the standard vulcan pod system mounted on the head and three hand grenades. The suit also used a new backpack, reminiscent of the old [[RX-79［G］ Gundam Ground Type|RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type]] from the One Year War. This backpack didn't mount any thrusters, and instead had an unfolding platform and a pair of loading cranes. It was used to equip a variety of mission specific loadouts, including the use of water tanks for firefighting purposes.
