Technology & Combat Characteristics
The ST-Gun Type 1 was a custom reconnaissance mobile suit built by SNRI. Initially, the plan was to replace an RGZ-95 ReZEL Defenser unit with a reconnaissance device, but due to the complex transformation system, it was decided instead to use the basic frame of the Jegan Type J. Due to Jegan Type J lack of hardpoints, its shoulders replaced with Jegan D Type shoulder parts. To fulfill its role, the ST Gun Type 1 equipped with shoulder sensor comprised of a turret and radome unit on the right shoulder, while the left shoulder featured a turret with laser sensor. The head was outfitted with spectral and thermal analysis sensors. It also use A detachable sub-optical sensor mounted on the waist. The ST-Gun’s cockpit was also extensively modified by adding more sensors and additional instruments, as well as a Minovsky interference wave measuring device. Its reactor and backpack also equipped with the one used by Jegan Type R, which was used to power all these sensors and gave it increased thrust power compared to the base model. While it was mainly designed as data collection unit, it also can be equipped with Jegan beam rifle or EWAC Jegan's camera gun. Due to its success, SNRI made the RGM-89ST2 ST Gun as refined version of the ST-Gun.
