Technology & Combat Characteristics
The GN-00902 SEM was an unmanned version of the GN-009 Seraphim Gundam. Two SEMs were developed as part of the GN-008GNHW/3G Seravee Gundam GNHW/3G, one of the upgrade plans for the GN-008 Seravee Gundam for the final battle against the Innovators. The two SEMs could transform into a compact form for docking to Seravee Gundam GNHW/3G's backpack, which was actually the Seraphim Gundam in its Backpack Form. The main purpose of the SEMs was to operate with Seraphim Gundam and jointly deploy the Trial System, thereby increasing the system's range to several hundreds of kilometers to achieve wide area suppression of enemy machines linked to the quantum processing system Veda. The SEMs were remotely controlled from Seraphim Gundam via quantum communication, and the operating range of this remote-control system was theoretically infinite. The SEM retained the standard armaments of the Seraphim Gundam, which consisted of a pair of GN Cannons and two GN Beam Sabers, and it was also equipped with a GN Beam Machine Gun and a GN Shield. Furthermore, there were concerns that the SEMs might be shot down before Veda could be recaptured from the Innovators. All these factors contributed to the decision to drop the Seravee Gundam GNHW/3G and its two SEMs, and instead adopt the alternative GN-008GNHW/B Seravee Gundam GNHW/B plan for the final battle with the Innovators.
