Technology & Combat Characteristics
Unlike the three MS-07H Gouf Flight Test Types which were developed from YMS-07A Prototype Gouf, the MS-07H-4 Gouf Flight Test Type was developed based on the YMS-07B Gouf. and its cockpit hatch was inherited from B-type Gouf instead of the Prototype Gouf. resulting in improved leg thrust outputs. Weapon-wise, the H-4 Gouf featured finger vulcans on both hands like the H-type Goufs and, depending on sources, each leg was equipped with a pair of 180mm rocket cannons.
History
After the disappointing flight test results from the H-type Goufs, the Zeon military decided to scale down the research on MS-07H, leaving only unit 3 and unit 4 to the research team. It could be said the H-4 Gouf prompted the birth of practical flying mobile suit.
