Technology & Combat Characteristics
The ORX-009 Gundam ［Sköll］is a transformable mobile suit developed at the Oakland Newtype Research Institute as a companion for the ORX-007 ［Hati］. Like the MSW-004 Gundam ［Kestrel］, the Sköll is equipped with the Shaman Frame. However, in order for the Shaman Frame to operate at its full specification, a reciprocal link with the Hati is need in order to use it. This link is performed via psycommu communication, and the Sköll must remain within 10,000 meters of the Hati to maintain the link. The MA made was designed to keep the Sköll within this range, and is not capable of entering the atmosphere. When it was deployed exterior of the mobile suit was unfinished, with portions of the armor constructed of nanocarbon steel treated with anti-beam coating. While nanocarbon steel is lightweight, it can be damaged by melee combat and physical ammunition.
History
The Sköll is developed in Oakland Newtype Research Institute and built at the Gate of Zedan as an experimental mobile suit capable of working in tandem with the ORX-007 ［Hati］ using an experimental psycho wave device. It is deployed during the Titans' last battle in the Gryps Conflict and engaged in a heated battle against the MSW-004 Gundam [Kestrel].
